sloane arts initiative
committed to celebrating and keeping the arts alive.

Sloane hopes to fight the defunding of art education and programs in areas like Socorro ISD, Fort Worth ISD, and even Houston's entire public art program. Profits from our newest line, Gone West, will go towards donating art supplies to schools, creating arts education videos and live workshops, being a resource to teen artists without exhibition spaces, and working towards creating policy change around art accessibility.
UStartTeaching Texas

I founded the Texas branch of UStartTeaching, an organization that works to promote education equality, in the summer of 2024. I created our branch website, set up our social media, and contacted over 20 organizations in the Dallas area to set up our first events.
We started by teaching our series of art lessons, Little Artists at Discover Camp Garland. We then created crystal artworks, which we auctioned at my school and on an online platform. We ended up raising $680 to donate to Save the Children.
Since then, our group has branched out to teaching history lessons at Ronald McDonald House, performing music at CCYoung Senior Living Center, and working on a series of online coding classes.
We're dedicated to providing equitable education opportunities and encouraging peer-to-peer teaching. We believe in creating impactful, community-based activities that enhance learning for everyone. Our mission is to nurture an inclusive and purposeful educational community.
